new technologies, additional distribution avenues, evolving case law,
applicable court decisions, and new legislation. In
the four week online course Rights & Reproductions 2: Fair Use, Open Access, and More
participants will further investigate current trends in rights and
at cultural institutions, through discussions of fair use / fair dealing
guidelines and codes, Creative Commons and RightsStatements.org, Open
Access and more.
The course textbook, Rights
& Reproductions: The Handbook for Cultural Institution, Second Edition will be supplemented by a variety of readings and assignments.
